Boyd Park Skatepark

Boyd Skate Park, located within Boyd Park at 1202 Fairway St in Eau Claire, WI 54701, is a 5,200-square-foot outdoor concrete facility that officially opened in June 2023. Designed and constructed by Spohn Ranch Skateparks, the project was the culmination of a decade-long fundraising and advocacy effort by the Eau Claire Skaters Association to secure a larger, permanent concrete hub for the Chippewa Valley skate scene. The transition elements serve primarily to anchor the flow of the park and keep riders moving. The standout feature is a wide custom concrete half-pipe/mini-ramp section, complemented by bank ramps and a hip designed for generating and maintaining momentum. The core of the linear footprint is dedicated to a modern, highly functional street plaza equipped with a stair set, flat and down rails, manual pads, and grind ledges. Spohn Ranch's layout is an efficient multi-functional neighborhood park that integrates seamlessly into the existing park landscape while providing a balanced mix of accessible street and transition terrain.
