About Carson City Skatepark at Mills Park

Located within Mills Park, this sprawling 30,000-square-foot concrete facility is a classic example of Wormhoudt Inc.’s early 2000s design philosophy, earning them an E.H.A. Parks Excellence Award from the Nevada Recreation and Parks Society. The park is heavily transition-oriented, anchored by a massive, multi-depth flow bowl and snake run that provides endless, high-speed lines. The layout features wide, sweeping banks and large transitional elements that bleed into a central street section. This street area includes a prominent pyramid, fundamental flat ledges, manual pads, and stair sets. Built for flow and speed, its wide-open layout and smooth, rolling transitions make it a staple for transition skaters and BMX riders in the region.
