About Indy Skatepark (Major Taylor Skatepark)

Design and build of this larger Indianapolis plan envisioned by the Indy Skatepark Advo | Manual enrichment: Indy Skatepark (AKA Major Taylor Skatepark) rehab/addition phases in Fall 2015 and 2016, with broader advocacy kickoff starting in 2014 via Indy Skatepark Advocates. Historic ~20,000 sq ft Midwest park received additions including new ledge, extensions, euro gap, radius curb, banks, manual pad box at entrance, bank-to-bank, new handrail, roller-to-quarter, and deck quarter pipe with steel curb. Site-wide art interventions supported by IMA grant and volunteer artists/crew. Context: neighborhood skate spots/dots strategy led by Indy Skatepark Advocates.
