Jim Warren Skate Plaza
About Jim Warren Skate Plaza
The Jim Warren Skate Plaza is a 15,000-square-foot, outdoor concrete skatepark designed by SITE Design Group, Inc. The park's layout is thoughtfully divided to cater to different skating disciplines. A prominent feature is the large, 16-foot kidney-shaped bowl, which presents a challenge for experienced skaters with its deep 11-foot well and 7-foot vertical transition. Adjacent to the bowl is a comprehensive street plaza. This area is equipped with a variety of elements designed to mimic an urban skating environment. It includes four sets of stairs complete with handrails, providing opportunities for grinds and stair gaps. Additionally, the plaza features five distinct ramps and an extensive 100 feet of ledges, offering numerous lines and trick possibilities for street-focused skaters. The overall design provides a balanced mix of transitional and street features, making it a versatile park for a range of skill levels, although the main bowl is geared towards more advanced riders. The park's integration into the larger Jim Warren Park provides a pleasant setting with access to numerous other recreational facilities.
