About La Villita Park Skatepark

Opened in 2014 in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, La Villita Park Skatepark is a 10,000-square-foot concrete facility designed and built by Spohn Ranch Skateparks. Catering heavily to street-style riding rather than deep transition, the build features an expansive plaza layout focused on technical ledge and rail lines. The park integrates smooth concrete flat ground with an array of modern street obstacles, including a diverse selection of manual boxes, stairs, planters, and a prominent bank-to-ledge setup. While strictly a street plaza at its core, it does incorporate a few basic transition elements, such as a mini-ramp and a solitary quarterpipe wall to maintain speed, making it a well-rounded and architecturally specific 10k-square-foot entry for documentation.
