About Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track

Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track, located within Pacific Highlands Ranch Community Park at 5977 Village Center Loop Rd, San Diego, CA 92130, is a 20,000-square-foot concrete facility that officially opened to the public in April 2019. Designed and constructed by Spohn Ranch, it holds the notable distinction of being California’s first poured-in-place concrete pump track. Unlike a traditional bowl setup, the transition landscape is a continuous, undulating circuit of concrete rollers, rhythm sections, and aggressively banked berms. The layout features multiple route variations and intersecting lines, allowing riders to navigate the entire footprint through momentum and pumping rather than pushing. Adjacent to the pump track is a dedicated street plaza equipped with handrails, flat ledges, a mini ramp, and flowing bank ramps for street skaters. Spohn Ranch's execution of the facility marked a significant milestone in California park design, creating a durable, high-speed, all-weather concrete circuit that serves skateboards, BMX, and scooters alike.
