Palm Springs Skate Park
About Palm Springs Skate Park
The Palm Springs Skate Park is an expansive outdoor concrete facility known for its thoughtful design and smooth, fast surface. Its layout is designed for continuous flow, catering to various skating styles. A standout feature is the Nude Bowl, a faithful replica of a classic kidney-shaped backyard pool, complete with pool coping and tile, ranging from 4 feet in the shallow end to 9-10 feet deep with a foot of vert. The park also includes a large Combi-Bowl with a snake run, varying depths (5'6" to 7'6"), and a 9.5-foot vert wall with an extension. For street skaters, the Flow Bowl offers an average depth of five feet and incorporates hips, rails, pyramids, stairs, ramps, and quarter-pipes. A unique architectural element is its innovative lighting system, with high-pressure sodium lights suspended from overhead cables to minimize shadows for night skating.
