Pātea Skatepark
About Pātea Skatepark
Concrete outdoor park inside Memorial Reserve, Pātea—part of a bigger community hub with playing fields, playground, and the historic Aotea Canoe memorial. It sits next to a free seasonal pool (roughly December–March) and a refreshed playground, so families often roll through between swims and play.
The reserve’s toilets are bright and decorated after a community-led redesign. SH3 travelers often use Pātea as a pit stop in South Taranaki.
Nearby: Aotea Utanganui (South Taranaki Museum) for local farming history and taonga; the Pātea River Historic Walk from the beach toward York St; and Mana Bay for rough-coast views and boogie boarding.
