About RampWorld Cardiff

RampWorld Cardiff was created and custom-built by Jason Carpenter, an experienced bike track builder and prominent figure in the UK mountain biking and BMX scene (well known as the father of Downhill World Champion Manon Carpenter). Unlike public outdoor parks that are typically contracted out to large commercial skatepark construction firms (like Freestyle or Maverick), RampWorld was built as a bespoke, indoor wooden project. Carpenter, alongside a team of local trail builders and plant operators from his background in building national-standard BMX race tracks, pump tracks, and dirt jump spots (such as Van Road Trails), designed and fabricated the massive 7,000-square-foot facility themselves. The facility operates as a registered non-profit charity and features a highly complex wooden layout including a large bowl with an integrated spine and volcano, a rhythm jump box section, resi-ramps, and a foam pit. Because it was hand-built by a team with deep roots in bicycle and trail construction, the park’s transitions, speed corners, and flow are uniquely optimized for maintaining momentum, making it highly favored by BMX riders and surfskaters alike.
