About Sierra Vista-Kiwanis Skate and Bike Court

The Sierra Vista-Kiwanis Skate and Bike Court is a modern, multi-faceted skatepark with a unique layout that separates different styles of riding while maintaining a cohesive flow. The design by SITE Design Group, Inc. features a large street plaza as a central component, characterized by a variety of ledges, stairs, and rails designed to accommodate street-style skating. A significant feature is the left-hand kidney bowl, offering a challenging transition experience for more advanced riders. Connecting these two distinct areas is a creative and unconventional winding path with banked, "taco-shaped" elements that provide a snake-run-like feel with opportunities for grinding and dynamic movement. The overall design allows for a logical progression through the park and separates different user groups, with the central courtyard acting as a hub. The use of poured concrete provides a durable and smooth riding surface throughout the facility.
