About Skatepark Entrelacs

Skatepark Entrelacs (often logged in municipal blueprints as the Surface de planche à roulettes) is a small, outdoor community recreational installation located within the main municipal sports field complex off Chemin d'Entrelacs in Entrelacs, Quebec. Description & Environment The park is built as a classic modular-on-asphalt layout, designed primarily as a local recreational space for youth in the municipality rather than a massive regional transition plaza. It shares its immediate physical footprint with the town’s other core outdoor sports infrastructure, sitting directly adjacent to the municipal tennis courts, baseball field, and the outdoor winter ice rink (patinoire extérieure). The park is surrounded by a standard chain-link boundary fence to isolate it from the neighboring ball fields, and it provides a smooth, flat-ground asphalt pad that serves as the foundation for its modular obstacles. Technical Features & Obstacles The layout is designed primarily for street and basic transition progression, using weather-resistant, prefabricated composite/metal ramp modules anchored to the asphalt. The core features include: Launch Ramps & Quarter Pipes: Positioned at the boundaries of the asphalt pad to allow riders to drop in, maintain speed, and turn around for return lines. Funbox / Central Pyramid: A central obstacle featuring a flat top, sloped banks (funbox layout), and an integrated transition ramp for launching or practicing air tricks. Grind Rail: A low-to-the-ground, straight flat bar designed for learning frontside and backside grinds or slides. Sloped Ledge / Grind Box: A standard rectangular box with metal coping edges, offering a progression element for street skating. Bank Ramps: Flat-banked inclines used for pivot tricks, stalls, or building speed toward the center of the pad. Operational Context Access: The park is free to the public, operating on a walk-in basis during standard daylight hours throughout the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. Target Disciplines: Due to the modular nature of the elements on an asphalt base, it is widely used for skateboarding, stunt scooters (trottinettes), and inline skating.
