About Troy Skatepark

The city’s concrete-and-asphalt pad sits with the Samuel E. Paul Community Center on South Street—locals often call it the Troy Bike Park even though boards are part of the regular traffic. Expect a compact, recreation-first layout: paired four-foot quarters, a spine, flybox, mini, low box, and two wave-style rollers rather than a competition bowl campus. There is no staff on deck; you ride under your own judgment, and posted guidance still pushes helmets plus knee and elbow coverage. Glass, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs don’t belong in the fence line—treat signs as final. Video monitoring is part of how the town keeps an eye on the space after hours. Pricing is effectively public/free for drop-in skating in ordinary conditions; double-check if a special event ever gates the rink. Separate from the park itself, Troy Recreation sometimes runs organized roller nights at Troy Elementary on School Street—rentals and music show up there seasonally, not on the South Street slab.
