About Guillermo Pua Jr. Skatepark

Guillermo "Pua" Jr. Skatepark (also known locally as La Vallita Skatepark) is a concrete street plaza at 2800 S Sacramento Ave, Chicago, IL 60623, on the southern edge of La Villita Park in Little Village. The facility is part of the larger transformation of the La Villita site from former industrial land into a major neighborhood recreation destination. The skatepark was dedicated in memory of Guillermo "Pua" Jr., a local skateboarder and community advocate tied to youth development and the park effort. Designed as a pure street-style plaza, the terrain emphasizes technical lines over deep-bowl transition: an A-frame style central feature with rail/hubba options, granite-capped ledges, manual pads, stair sections, mellow quarter pipes at opposing ends, and flowing banks for return speed. The plaza is fully lit for evening use and is widely regarded as both a high-quality skate facility and a symbol of environmental and community reinvestment in Little Village.
