About Hansen Dam Skatepark

Hansen Dam Skatepark is an 8,800 to 9,000 square-foot concrete facility that opened in 2012 in the Lake View Terrace neighborhood of Los Angeles. Designed and constructed by Spohn Ranch, the park is celebrated for seamlessly blending transition and street elements into a continuous, flow-oriented loop. The layout anchors its entrance with a 2,500-square-foot flow bowl before snaking street-inspired obstacles around a central landscaped area. Built to encourage functional lines and creativity, the park is visually distinctive due to its integral colored concrete, smooth granite-capped ledges, and a wide brick-stamped bank designed to recreate the famous "LA High" banks.
