About Oslo Skatehall
Oslo Skatehall is a premier indoor skateboarding facility at Stavangergata 28, 0467 Oslo, Norway. Designed by DARK Arkitekter and opened in January 2017, the hall is recognized for striking architecture and world-class skating features.
The hall offers about 1,430 m² of indoor skating space plus 600 m² outdoors—an important community hub during Norway's long winters. Key terrain includes street zones, bowl, and vert setups with custom elements; a raised organic timber bowl (a signature feature); and micro, mini, and full-size vert ramps. Amenities include a café, an activity and media room for film editing and seminars, and an on-site skateshop.
Visitors: open to the public Monday through Sunday; day tickets or season tickets. Rental boards and helmets are included with admission. The facility is for skateboarding only.
Design: collaboration with Glifberg+Lykke and IOU Ramps, with input from pro Karsten Kleppan. The exterior is clad in perforated aluminum panels with Morse-code patterns.
