About Torshov Skatepark
Torshov Skatepark (widely known as Torshovrampen) is a neighborhood outdoor spot in the Sagene borough of Oslo, tucked into Torshovparken near the Presidentgata area (postal 0474). For many years it was famous for a classic wooden mini-ramp in a courtyard park setting; recent work (including renovations by Northland Skateparks around 2024–2025) has added more durable concrete and stone elements so the layout better survives Norwegian weather while keeping the same local, DIY-leaning character.
The mini-ramp remains the heart of the park, with surrounding small banks, ledges, and curbs that suit beginners learning transitions without the pressure of a deep bowl. It is a social hub for Oslo’s east-side scene—more chill hangout than a national competition bowl. The site symbolizes how Oslo skaters fought to keep a small public pocket skateable year-round.
Larger facilities such as Jordal Skatepark (national Park-discipline arena) lie farther southeast; Oslo Skatehall (indoor) and Voldsløkka are relatively short trips west for riders who want bigger terrain after a session here.
