Trail Winds Skatepark
About Trail Winds Skatepark
Trail Winds Skatepark is a 14,000-square-foot concrete outdoor facility designed with a focus on flow and diversity, catering to various skill levels. The design, a collaboration between DHM Design and Team Pain, incorporated public input. The park features a well-conceived layout with a distinct street section and a large bowl area, maintaining seamless flow between them. The street section includes multiple rails, ledges (some with metal coping), banks, quarterpipes of varying steepness, stairs, and boxes for technical street-style tricks. The centerpiece is a large, uniquely shaped bowl with varied depths, a roll-in for easy entry, a layback wall, and several pockets, all complemented by smoothly transitioning banked turns. The open layout allows for easy navigation and simultaneous use, with gradual changes in depth making it accessible to novices while challenging experienced skaters. The unique geometry of the main bowl and the deliberate placement of street obstacles create a rhythmic and engaging skating experience, emphasizing momentum and linking tricks.
