About Worthbrook Park Skatepark
Renovated in 2016 by Spohn Ranch, Worthbrook Park Skatepark in Oak Lawn, Illinois, represents a modern approach to skate plaza conversion. The builders repurposed an existing 16,000-square-foot concrete slab, replacing an older facility that previously housed deteriorating wooden and metal ramps. By utilizing a combination of structural styrofoam and concrete cutting, Spohn Ranch transformed the flat surface into an updated concrete plaza. The park is characterized by its long rectangular layout, which is anchored at one end by a continuous wall of quarterpipes that allows riders to drop in and generate speed for the adjacent street section.
